ChairmanFounder and Chairman of Cartwright, Ian Cartwright, has been steering the business since its inception in 1986. When not in the office, Ian is found on the golf course working on his handicap.

Technical DirectorRobert joined Cartwright in 1992, he has a vast knowledge of pensions and most other subjects as well. He is our quiz teams' secret weapon, especially his knowledge of history and politics.

Operations DirectorRobin joined Cartwright in 1997 and leads on all operational matters. He can often be found working on his latest canvas with paintbrush in hand.

Commercial DirectorTony has more than 40 years experience in the employee benefits industry and joined the Board of Directors at Cartwright in 2017. He is a West Ham fan and often attends matches with two of his sons, he has given up trying to get his other son and daughter to go!

Director of Investment ConsultingSam has been consulting on pensions and investment for over 20 years. When he isn't helping trustees to invest better, he can be found taking time out with his three young kids or honing his skills on the pool table.

Director of AdministrationJulie is living proof that we really can and do recruit the best. When not leading the way for our administration teams, she has a keen interest in soul music and attends as many events as she can in her free time.

Head of Pensions AdminClare has worked in the pensions industry for over 20 years and brings with her extensive and specific experience in defined benefit and hybrid schemes. Clare enjoys cycling and woodland walking with her husband, sons and dogs.

Pensions Admin ManagerTom has worked in the industry for over 15 years and, most recently, has championed our lost record tracing and screening procedures. His young daughter brings out his inner child and he follows his beloved Tottenham to near glory, maybe next season!

Head of ProjectsCharlotte has extensive knowledge of defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid schemes and was promoted to Deputy Head of Admin in 2020. Charlotte also enjoys gardening and running, although not at the same time.

Scheme ActuaryKeir has vast experience as a Scheme Actuary and celebrates 22 years at Cartwright this year. A dedicated MAMIL, if your office is within 100 miles of Farnborough he might just turn up to your Trustees meeting on his bike.

Scheme ActuaryStephen started working for Barnes & Sherwood in 2001; this became part of Cartwright in 2007. He is a keen chess player who secretly likes the colour grey but hides it well with a myriad of colourful ties.

Scheme ActuaryRichard has been a Scheme Actuary for almost 20 years, most of them with Cartwright. Richard is a supporter of London Irish Rugby Football Club.

Scheme Actuary Stephen has been in the pensions industry for over 13 years, advising both trustees and corporate clients. Stephen's young family keeps him busy but he enjoys running and is heavily invested in the emotional rollercoaster of being a Middlesbrough supporter!

Senior Investment ConsultantAdam has 14 years industry experience and advises DB schemes on how to get the most out of their investment portfolios. He has a young son he runs around after at home and when he gets the chance he loves watching and playing sports.

Senior Investment ConsultantChris has experience as a Scheme Actuary, plan sponsor and, for 20 years, has advised pension schemes on all aspects of investment policy. A keen linguist, he’s currently studying for a languages degree with the OU. Esto es bueno!

Senior Investment ConsultantA highly experienced and focused investment professional, Glen has a proven track record in portfolio management and investment consulting. When not spoiling his two yorkshire terriers, Glenn likes hiking, theatre, music and cinema.

Head of Platform and Fund ResearchTom has been advising on investment strategy, funding level triggers, bulk annuity transactions and portfolio structuring for almost 20 years. Outside of work Tom enjoys dancing forró, playing football and hiking.

Senior Investment ConsultantAs a qualified actuary, Martin transferred to the investment arena in 2012. With experience in investment consultancy and fiduciary management, Martin manages our team of analysts. Outside of work Tom has a young family and enjoys playing golf.

ConsultantGavin acts as consultant to a wide range of defined benefit schemes. He enjoys playing tennis and golf but not sufficiently well to pay the mortgage!

Group Risk ConsultantJohn is a highly experienced Group Risk and Healthcare Consultant and Group Risk Underwriter. He is a keen runner, and enjoys cooking, golf, walking with his young daughter, and occasional trips to the zoo (with aforementioned daughter)!

ConsultantDonna has more than 30 years experience in the pensions industry. When she isn't assisting pension trustees you will probably find her on a yoga mat being playfully interrupted by her dog, Amber.

Accounts and Payroll ManagerSarah has more than 20 years experience in pensions accounting. When not in the office, Sarah can normally be found in her garden or behind her camera, shooting wildlife and landscapes.

Head of IT and SecurityA highly respected figure within the pensions systems world, Mark is so dedicated to IT and information security he rarely finds time to even visit the barbers.

Pensions ConsultantProviding full governance and consulting services, Rob has worked in the pensions sector for over 20 years. Rob is known as a keen sportsman, although he confesses that playing is reducing and watching is increasing!
